We are passionate about supporting unpaid carers, the people who assist family members or friends with care, daily tasks or to stay safe.

With around 140 colleagues and a £4m turnover, we are one of the largest charities in Wales. As a collective, we change unpaid carers lives by delivering a wide range of services, including respite (giving carers a break), care in the home and community settings, and advice and support services across ten local authority areas in South Wales.

Our key goals are that young and adult unpaid carers are able to help and get help for someone with care and/or support needs in a way that maximises that person’s independence and dignity and that reduces the physical and emotional impact on the health of carers. We also want to ensure that carers have the time and energy to enjoy their life and achieve things that are important to that.

In the face of ever-increasing demands and reducing resources, we want to think differently, work smartly and deliver collaboratively.

**Purpose**
- Provide operational and administrative support to new short-term services aimed to tackle financial hardship and improve emotional resilience of unpaid carers of all ages across the organisation.
- To work closely with all services delivered by The Care Collective to ensure a consistent approach to access, development and implementation of the new services.

**Major Responsibilities**

**Project Support**
- Provide operational and administrative support including; Support and lead on, financial recording, data input across multiple IT system, liaising with unpaid carers and wider team
- To be the first point of contact for queries relating to these projects
- To deal with incoming enquiries and messages and manage the enquiries appropriately including directing to the correct person where necessary.
- Take a lead on processing all incoming referrals and queries for services within the Carers Support Fund.
- To support the input and following up actions of data and information on Charity Log (CRM).
- Provide qualitative and quantitative data for reporting purposes and support the project manager with all monitoring requirements.

Person Specification

Experience Required

(E) Demonstrable experience of project administration and coordination

(D) Experience of working with vulnerable client groups.

(D) Experience of delivering projects within the third sector or health and social care sector

Skills and Abilities Required

(E) Good organisational skills, including planning prioritising and report writing

(E) The ability to work independently and within a team

(E) Excellent IT Skills, with experience of using Microsoft packages especially Excel

(E) A willingness to be flexible to meet the requirement of the service

(E) Problem solving skills with a capacity to devise and implement solutions

Qualifications Required

(E) A good standard of general education, minimum 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths, with a commitment to continual professional development

Knowledge Required

(E) A knowledge of and a commitment to equal opportunities

(D) An understanding of the needs of carers, people with a disability, dementia and people experiencing illness and isolation

(D) An understanding of the social care sector / market

(D) Good knowledge of local services

(E) Willing to be flexible with their hours of work and willing to work outside of normal office hours when required
