Old Plean Roofing Ltd is a successful and expanding Roofing, Building and Maintenance Contractor serving the domestic and commercial sector in central Scotland and beyond.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team.

As part of the Old Plean Roofing Ltd Management Team, you will be responsible for the development, management, and control of the small works, maintenance and repairs projects service. You will manage the service in conjunction with the Contracts Director and ensure an effective service is delivered from first point of contact to completion of works.

You will have proven experience in construction supervision /management and will ideally be a member of a related construction professional body. You will be experienced in organising/auditing repairs and maintenance, along with knowledge of repairs servicing, construction and service technologies and standards.

Main Duties:

- Conduct surveys to identify roofing/building issues
- Creating small works, repairs and maintenance schedules
- Delegating tasks to team members
- Conducting site inspections and identifying areas requiring maintenance work
- Conducting quality assurance checks
- Supervising operatives and ensuring they follow safe work practices
- Developing maintenance budgets, negotiating client contracts

Key Skills and requirements
- Organisational skills for scheduling maintenance tasks and ensuring job completion
- Attention to detail, ensuring maintenance tasks are not overlooked and minor site problems do not become major site problems
- Technical understanding of roofing and building systems for planning and troubleshooting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and the ability to translate complex information
- A clean UK driving license is essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £36,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
