**Hospital Receptionist - Part Time | Spire Hartswood Hospital, Brentwood | £22,327.50 per annum FTE + excellent benefits | 19 hours per week | Permanent

As part of our commitment to both patients and colleagues we are looking for a Hospital Receptionist to join our wonderful team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience join us.
This is a permanent part time role working an average of 19 hours per week. We predominantly work Monday - Friday, however we normally work 1 in 4 Saturdays. The department is open from 08.00-20.30, shifts will be completed between these times. Exact shift pattern and timings along with sample rota will be discussed with suitable applicants.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Ensure that all customers are greeted in a professional manner and their identity and purpose of visit is established.
- Daily use of SAP (the hospital computer system) including updating and amending patient records, making appointments and taking payments.
- Ensure Patient Waiting Time in reception is monitored and Patients are kept up to date.
- Post charges to patient accounts and ensure correct billing. Accurate cash collection and banking to be completed at end of each day.
- To operate the hospitals switchboard.
- Liaison with internal departments regarding clinic room allocations and changes to the clinic schedule as well as making appointments and bookings for treatments.
- Explain and assist patients with all queries wherever possible.
**Who we're looking for**:
- Minimum of one years’ experience in a customer facing role
- Minimum of one years’ experience in an administrative role
- Ability to work under pressure in a calm, efficient and courteous manner
- Ability to flex priorities as new demands arise during the working day
- Quality focused, attention to detail, Highly organised
