National Highways are currently seeking a Project Support Officer on a **12 month fixed term **to join our correspondence team for the A303 Stonehenge scheme within our Complex Infrastructure Programme in Bristol with a hybrid mix of home and office working.

We are looking for an adaptable, proactive and driven individual to provide flexible and varied administrative support. We receive large volumes of correspondence, which peak and vary at different stages of the project. All these need responses which are timely, accurate, well written and in line with our agreed messages and processes. You will be working closely with the communications and project teams to provide consistent, high quality written responses.

You will be helping to identify emerging themes in correspondence to improve the information publicised by the project. You will be required to go that extra mile and take pride in what you do to deliver accurate and efficient outcomes.

**What you’ll be leading on**
- Responding to correspondence from internal and external customers with a professional manner in alignment with National Highways’ defined processes, deadlines and standards.
- Operate many administrative processes, ensuring that these are delivered accurately, on time and in line with defined procedures and standards.
- Act as a point of contact internally and externally, providing information to stakeholders to support service delivery, customer service, and management decision making and escalating issues for resolution as necessary.
- Developing quality responses to Freedom of Information requests, public and ministerial correspondence working with the relevant technical team or National Highways team
- Working collaboratively with other Correspondence Officers in order to improve correspondence quality, team performance and share lessons learned
- Tracking, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on correspondence and emerging themes in the A303 Stonehenge scheme

**To be successful you’ll need**
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written - Experience of producing high quality, written communication to members of the public and other stakeholders.
- Previous administration experience including, responding to correspondence summarising information and drafting communications on complex issues using plain English.
- To show experience of working at pace, where organisational skills and attention to detail are not compromised.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- The ability to work independently and prioritise workload while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrate experience working with internal and external stakeholders

The Complex Infrastructure Programme (CIP) is responsible for some of the largest and complex ‘Tier 1’ projects of national significance. Our projects are in the Government Major Projects Portfolio due to their level of investment, complexity of stakeholder and political landscape and importance as elements of national infrastructure that will lead to economic growth.
