Do you want to be part of one of the best performing cancer tumour sites within England?

Do you want to support patients moving faster through there cancer pathway?

If you are highly organised and love working within an admin environment, with an engaging clinician team as well as making a difference with direct impact to patient care, then this is the role for you.

In this role you will be helping to support our Women's Services at Ipswich Hospital.

If you are a motivated person and thrive on working within a busy and rewarding environment, and would like the opportunity to support and contribute to the delivery of high quality patient care, we would love to hear from you.

This is a full time (37.5 hours per week), Fixed term/Secondment role until 31/03/2026.

The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with both the Operational Team and the Cancer Performance Teams, to support the Trust in achieving National Cancer Waiting Times Standards. The post holder will be responsible for troubleshooting blockages in patient pathways and providing proactive information in anticipation of potential problems, actively escalating as necessary to the appropriate Manager/Clinical lead and closing the loop on next steps.

The post holder will work unsupervised for the majority of the time but will be supported, as necessary, by Women’s Services and Cancer Performance Teams. The post holder should have the ability to work in a team and independently.

The post holder may be required to contact patients and/or tertiary centres directly to facilitate a prompt resolution to any pathway issues or delays.

Along with supporting you to achieve your career goals we offer a generous pension scheme, unsocial hours payments (where applicable), 27 days annual leave on commencement (pro rata) and access to a range of NHS discounts. Our Staff Health and Wellbeing programme offer a variety of services.

Our philosophy is that Time Matters to everyone. Across the Trust, we concentrate on improving the things we do and removing those which cause time delays for our staff and patients.

We are investing in our commitment to Time Matters with a partnership with leading electronic patient record (EPR) supplier Epic. This digital transformation will bring what’s widely regarded as the world’s best EPR system to ESNEFT, transforming life in hospital for staff and patients.
