Lighthouse Pedagogy Trust is looking for bank staff to join our team in our not-for-profit residential children’s home in Sutton, which can support up to six 12-18 year olds with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

**About the role**

Lighthouse Pedagogy Trust is a charity that creates children’s homes where children can thrive. We are recruiting bank staff to join our children’s home in Sutton, which can support up to six 12-18 year olds with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

We are looking for people who:

- Can bring fun ideas and activities to help connect and form strong relationships with our young people, and enjoy going out and about in the community to explore new things together.
- Are kind and caring, honest and reliable, and can be good advocates and role models for our children
- Can quickly build relationships with young people and colleagues
- Are proactive and willing to get stuck in straight away
- Are experienced in working with children or other vulnerable groups, such as youth work, social care, schools, residential settings, prisons or mental health provision. We are particularly keen to hear from those who have experience managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in children, teenagers or adults.
- Are able to find the balance between being warm, friendly and supportive, while also being professional and acting as a good parent would to hold boundaries and put young people’s best interests first.
