The primary purpose of the role is to support/install rigging points to facilitate lifting operations

**Duties** include movement of rigging kit from warehouse to NEC halls and back to stores post event. Assembly of trussing and the lifting equipment, cabling and hoists, and running motor controllers to ensure the lifting operation is controlled with strict compliance and safe working practices.

You will demonstrate knowledge of the principles for selecting lifting equipment, demonstrate an understanding of force influences for various sling configurations, and weight estimation, and choose appropriate lifting equipment for different rigging lifts.

You will carry out pre-use inspections of all lifting and suspension equipment. As well as carrying out a dynamic risk assessment of the site environment to ensure applicable safety practices and exclusion zones are in place.

The position is based within the exhibitions and conventions sector of live events, which is a 24/7 business and as such, hours can be unsociable. Individuals must show the logic and the ability to work safely to meet client deadlines.

**A driving licence and MEWP/forklift licence is essential for this role.**
