We are looking to recruit a full time, pro-active Care Coordinator to work alongside our Branch Manager and other members of the office care team.

The purpose of the role is to coordinate care packages according to the requirement(s) of the service user, to ensure that their personalised care needs are met with consistant and competent staff. The Care Cordinator must ensure that scheduling of all rotas is complete on a weekly basis giving care staff at least one or two weekly rotas in advance whilst maintaining regulatory standards as set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) at all times.

The role itself is full time with a minium of 37.5hrs per week and based in Wednesbury. The salary range is negotiable depending on experience (£25-28k per annum). It is desirable that you hold a full UK driving licence and have experience in the Health & Social Care sector, qualified to Level 3 or above or be willing to complete a qualification as required.

- Is computer literate and can use an electronic web based scheduling system
- Has strong organisational and planning skills
- Is able to prioritise their own workload
- Has experience of working in the care industry
- Can work well under pressure, on own initiative and at a fast pace when needed
- Can lead by example and supervise care workers
- Can be committed and deliver hands on care at short notice
- Is fully flexible with working times in order to meet the needs of the service users.
- Is approachable and reliable, being honest and trustworthy
- Can be strictly confidential at all times

Principle responsibilities are:

- Daily management of the rota system as required, adding, changing, reassigning or removing visits as and when required
- Drive the care hours up on a weekly basis by being able to quickly assess referalls.
- To ensure clients receive consistency with all their care needs
- Being able to cover shifts in emergencies
- To assess packages of care referred to us by private referalls, hospitals or local authorities
- To manage the team’s annual leave requests and maintan an absence diary
- Work with the Branch Manager and HR team in regards to absence management
- Work as part of the on-call team providing out of hours support if needed
- Assist the HR team with any recruitment needs for the specific area
- To review Care Plans periodically or when a change requires it
- To monitor the daily clocking in and out of staff members, identifying any anomalies
- To carry out regular supervisions and spot checks to maintain high standards
- To be part of the on-call rota to provide out of hours support
- To carry out general office duties, answering the phone, general administration, etc
- To be able to communicate either in writing or verbally with other professionals involved in the service provision of care.
