Summary

Opportunity for a Process Improvement Coordinator to join our Compounding Unit. With a strong emphasis on identifying potential process inefficiencies or obsolete processes from deviation management or though organisational change. Recommends effective ways to improve quality and/or production process improvements. Maintains and documents, such as standard operating procedures.

The role holder, under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, will be responsible for coordinating, leading, and reporting progress on deviation investigations, CAPA management and organisational change across the Croydon Compounding unit.

This position will be part of the local CA/PA Review Board (CRB) as well as the local Change Control Review Board (CCRB), with the view to primarily focus on the Isolator unit with a view to broaden the scope. Actively use GMP recognised tools, problem solving skills and lean manufacturing techniques to identify the true root cause of a problem is critical to delivering success in this role.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Complete deviation investigation tools to local production and EHS problems.
- Use data analysis to support and innovate process improvement plans.
- Participate in CA/PA Review Board meetings - where investigation progress and current activities are presented and approved.
- Participate in Change Control Review Board meetings - where change control progress and current activities are presented, and new proposed changes discussed.
- Establish relationships with site leadership, the Quality Assurance/Quality Management Systems team, and EHS Coordinator to collaboratively identify root causes and opportunities to improve.
- Collaborate with Leadership, identify collaborators and interview staff at all levels of the organisation.
- Works with the functional area to improve or develop standard operating procedures, documenting workflow and process steps.
- Be accountable and responsible for ensuring all personal activities are effectively closed on time, in line with agreed targets and timelines.
- Understand EHS and emergency procedures and align with safe systems of work.
- Responsible for addressing issues that might affect safety, compliance, output, business ethics etc.
- Responsible to ensure timely completion of relevant deviation and complaint investigations to identify true root cause.
- Combine a highly driven approach with collaboration and flexibility, sharing standard process and ideas
- Take ownership for own personal development plan

Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge
- Experience in manufacture (preferably in Aseptic, e.g. compounding)
- Proactive logical approach to problem solving using lean manufacturing techniques.
- Preferred proven understanding of the principles and guidelines for GMP as set out in the ‘Orange Guide’
- Desirable experience in deviation management, corrective and preventative action identification and organisational change processes
- Ability to make sound risk-based decisions.
- Ability to work to critical timelines.
- Excellent verbal and formal communication skills, together with critical reasoning skills.
- Sense of ownership and pride in own and team performance and its impact on company’s success.
- IT literate, particularly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
