**Job summary**:
The Infantry Training Centre (ITC) delivers Infantry basic training and initial trade training and is based in Catterick Garrison. The ITC consists of three units; 1st and 2nd Infantry Training Battalions and a Support Battalion all collocated along with Headquarters School of Infantry. The 1st and 2nd Battalions undertake the Combat Infantry Course (CIC) for all recruits, who wish to join the Infantry whether regular or reserve. The ITC also commands Pegasus Company, the Army School of Ceremonial, and the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming (based in Edinburgh).
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
We deliver training which covers everything from developing a civilian arriving with no military experience into a trained, confident Infantry soldier, to teaching people to play the Bagpipes.
Whilst military training is undertaken by highly skilled and experienced members of the Army, we are supported by almost 200 Ministry of Defence (MOD) Civil Servants along with a number of Defence contractors. We are in roles from drivers to HR Clerks and storekeepers to tutors

We are advertising for three Armoury Storekeepers both advertised at 37 hours per week.
**Job description**:
You will be part of a large team and will be responsible for the issue and receipt of all weapons and ancillaries, including the safe custody and security of all items held within the Armoury.
You will be responsible for the safe custody and security of all weapons and ancillaries issuing and receipt of all weapons sights, bayonets, and scabbards.

- have served for at least one year in His Majesty’s Armed Forces (as a Regular or Reserve); this includes time spent training

Responsible to ensure all issues and receipts of weapons are carried out as per various regulations.
Updating, maintenance and cleanliness of the working area, also updating issue sheet and replacing identification labels.
Responsible for inputting of fault reporting sheets onto computer programme.
Aiding customers with queries and answering questions.
Working with various staff and stakeholders, so effective communication and organisation skills are required.
There will be occasions when you will work as a lone worker.
Act as Duty storekeeper for a 7-day period inclusive, applicant must be able to be at ITC within 30 minutes of receiving a call out from the Guardroom. This is to ensure that the weapons are returned to, and secured within, the Armoury following a shoot and recruits are not left waiting outside the Armoury for long periods of time. The call out may be at an unsociable time partcularly during the summer when darkness is required for a night shoot. The Duty Storekeeper can claim overtime.
Print out daily and weekly serial checks loading and uploading mobile scanners.
Training will be provided. Additional training to develop the individual or support the business need may be required.
