**£27,000 - £33,000 per annum**

**Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm**

My client, an established accountancy practice based on the outskirts of Brentwood, is looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of experience in a friendlyand supportive company.

**Duties**:

- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve ongoing issues
- Assisting with the preparation of accounts for small and medium sized companies
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Bookkeeping duties to include bank reconciliations, maintaining purchase and sales day books
- Processing C.I.S monthly returns
- Working in a fast-moving environment to meet deadlines

Skills and experience required:

- Previous practice experience is essential
- Knowledge of taxation including VAT, C.I.S and personal tax
- Experience using accountancy software including Sage and QuickBooks is ideal
- Self-motivated and organised individual who can work within a small team
- Able to manage time and work to deadlines
