**Job Purpose**
The Centres Operations Officer (QEUH) will lead on providing an efficient and effective operational service at the QEUH Campus for the Clinical Innovation Zone and the joint UofG and NHS Teaching and Learning Centre (T&LC), through planning, organisation and delegation of activities, working in partnership with senior UofG and NHS colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve the work plans and priorities associated with the Innovation, Engagement and Enterprise strategy and the Teaching & Learning Centre strategies in UofG and NHSGGC.
This post reports to the CIZ Manager and, in the case of the NHS T&LC, has a dotted line management relationship with NHSGGC via the Head of Learning and Education.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
1. To be responsible for providing an efficient and effective service across a range of operational services to meet the needs of both Centres (CIZ and T&LC) including provision of a full cycle of client management support for CIZ tenants. This includes providing prospective tours, welcomes and inductions, acting as a key ongoing on-site point of contact between tenants and relevant University and NHS teams and liaising with CIZ located companies to ensure an appropriate network presence.
2. To lead on the operation and management of both Centres providing specialist advice to ensure effective prioritisation of the University and NHSGGC’s strategic aims and delivery of objectives.
3. Provide customer management support for UofG and NHS education, teaching and learning leads to ensure that appropriate resources are allocated and utilised and stakeholders delivering services based in the T&LC are supported to provide effective and accessible services for staff and students
4. Contribute to the T&LC Joint Management Group in reporting on activity, facilitating developing T&L strategies and contributing to a business development strategy.
5. Play a leading role in team/group and committee meetings to provide clear direction and enhance understanding of operational objectives, contract performance, change programme initiatives and College and NHS strategies.
6. Manage on a daily basis the flow of large amounts of student and staff through the Teaching & Learning Centre ensuring all activities are supported for efficient service delivery according to timetables and room bookings.
7. Manage the capacity of the Centre to ensure the training needs of UoG and NHS GGC are met and decisions communicated to all relevant parties regarding confirmed room bookings. Including but not limited to:

o Room allocation management in the T&LC using CMIS and the local room booking system
o Production of reports and management information, using these to inform and develop the usage of the Centre
o Establish and develop an annual event calendar for all activities within the T&LC giving priority to areas within the Booking Protocol, ensuring sufficient time for set up and clear up including national, regional and local conferences.
o Oversee booking and activities within the Clinical Skills area in liaison with the Clinical Skills team.
8. Independently resolve concerns raised by occupants or user groups, escalating to senior management where appropriate.
9. As directed by the CIZ Alliances Manager, compile activity reports and statistical data on the use of the Teaching & Learning Centre to present to senior managers within NHSGG&C and University of Glasgow as appropriate
10. To manage and monitor operational budgets and allocation of resources regularly, reviewing financial data on spend/variances to minimise and mitigate any associated operational risks ensuring a culture of openness and transparency
11. Review, develop and manage CIZ and T&LC communications, including web content and social media presence. Maintain and continually improve online communications, develop innovative content, provide best practice advice and guidance to staff, manage the digital screen content and co-ordinate the creation of promotional materials.
12. Lead in the development and implementation of a continuous improvement framework, embedding operational service excellence and developing capability to enhance and enable effective delivery across the CIZ.
13.Provide effective leadership and management through developing a high-performance team to enhance and contribute towards delivering an efficient and effective service; overall management responsibility for support staff allocated to the CIZ and T&LC including managing staff rosters to cover the required hours of opening as appropriate.
