Crew Planning & Training Assistant

Monday - Friday 37.5 hours
(plus on call upon completion of training)

The Hales Group are currently recruiting for a Crew Planning and Training Assistant, this is a dual role encompassing crew planning and administration relating to certification and courses. This is an exciting opportunity to join our client who are Europe’s leading provider of specialist crew transfer vessels to the offshore windpower industry.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting the Crew Planner includes:

- Assist crew planner with all crew scheduling and ensure qualified manning of vessels
- Administrative support to the Crew Planner including creating and updating site schedules, distributing schedules to clients and crew
- Consult with Fleet Managers for emergency cover such as in the event of sickness
- Responsibility for planning and other relevant arrangements for European fleet, under supervision of the Crew Planner
- Preparation of immigration documents for all on-singing/off-signing crew on European sites
- Assisting with travel and accommodation arrangements as necessary

Administrative support to the Certificate and Course Co-Ordinator includes:

- Monitoring expiration of relevant mandatory certification for crew
- All related administration such as updating online and database systems and filing
- Course bookings for mandatory and additional training, including arranging shift cover and associated logistics such as travel and accommodation

Requirements for the role:

- Crewing experience desirable, but not necessary. Full training will be given
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft programmes, in particular Outlook and Excel
- Good written and verbal communication
- Confident working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent team player but able to use your own initiative
- Good time-management and organisation
- Pro-active and enthusiastic
- Must be willing to form part of on call rota (upon completion of training)
