**Overall Purpose of Post**:
To provide friendly and effective admission service and advice and guidance to potential and existing students’ enquiries. The post holder will monitor student attendance and ensure the implementation of the attendance policy as well as confirm attendance using the Student Loan Company portal.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

**Admissions**:
1. Develop detailed knowledge of the College admission policy, admission regulations and admission related forms and ensure their implementation

2. Organise required English test and functional skills diagnostic tests for potential students, ensuring that these tests are conducted professionally, suitably invigilated and the tests are fit for purpose, fair, secure and transcript/feedback is communicated to students

3. Arrange interviews of potential students and ensure the records/document of the interviews and decisions are kept securely

4. Contribute to the decision and communicate admission decisions for each applicants ensuring that these decisions are made in accordance with the College policies and procedures. All supporting evidences are to be kept securely.

5. Assist with organisation of induction sessions for all new students

6. Ensure all files related to students are complete and they are maintained and securely kept

7. Ensure the data in the College data is accurate and correspond to the various source documents such as student files, pass and award records

**Attendance**:
8. Develop a good knowledge of the attendance policy, termination policy, disciplinary and grievance policy and other related policies, procedures and forms and ensure their implementation

9. Create attendance groups and communicate timetables to all students

10. Ensure attendance data on the College database and physical forms is reconciled, matched and is accurate

11. Ensure implementation of attendance policy and all attendance related to disciplinary actions are taken according the College policies and procedures

12. Authorise leave of students who could not attend classes in accordance with attendance policy

13. Monitor and ensure that all students attend their classes according to the attendance policy and contact all students whose attendance is below threshold agreed by the College

1. Work flexibly as part of the College team to ensure the smooth running of the College’s premises and facilities

2. Participate actively and flexibly in a range of College-wide activities, such as duty rotas, enrolment and marketing events

3. Participate in training and team development activities, to develop and update skills and knowledge

4. Understand and be committed to the College’s health and safety Policy statement and the College’s safety priorities and be aware of your contribution to them

5. Be aware of the College’s equality policies and demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to promote the principle of equality and diversity throughout all aspects of your work

6. Be familiar with safeguarding requirements as outlined in the College’s policies and comply with its requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults

7. Undertake such additional duties or projects as directed by the directors or senior managers of the College.

**Person Specification**:
Essential:

- Literacy and numeracy skills at level 2
- Good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Proven experience in customer service

Desirable:

- Knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector
- Knowledge and understanding of the GDPR

**Salary**: £19,392.91-£28,358.66 per year
