At Cornwall Housing, we’re about delivering homes and services to the communities of Cornwall. We care about our neighbourhoods, so we’re expanding our estate services team. We're looking for a team leader with experience of managing projects and contractors/service providers to join the team. We need talented people who can work with others and who want to make a difference.

**The role**

Leading a new team of Estate Rangers working together with colleagues across Cornwall Housing and external partners, you’ll be delivering services to care for our neighbourhoods and delivering investment projects for estate improvements.

We want you to care about where you work and make a difference in our communities, so this role is also about engaging with people to give residents a voice and improve the places they live. You’ll take a leading role working across housing management teams to resolve issues, be visible on estates and listen to residents to understand how they feel about their neighbourhood. What you do will make a real difference, provide confidence in how we manage neighbourhoods and deliver pride to our communities.

The role is centred around Truro and Falmouth, so you'll need to be working in/around and connected here.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Making sure that inspections of communal areas and contract works are completed to timescale and standard, working together with suppliers to check quality and track inspection outcomes.
- Being a visible leader on our estates, working with Councillors, residents and members of the public to find solutions, resolve complaints and improve the appearance of our neighbourhoods.
- Working alongside the area housing teams to attend joint inspections, record works, address tenancy issues, and improve the appearance of our estates.
- Helping us get the finances right, managing and setting budgets with accurate orders and invoices and checking what we spend.

**What you’ll need to be a success**
- Experience of leading and organising an operational team, or the ability to demonstrate where you have worked with others to direct work and oversee activities.
- Experience of delivering customer service, communicating with people in a face-to-face environment and being able to build strong working relationships.
- Awareness of dealing with health and safety requirements, risk management and principles of project management.
- Experience of logistics, scheduling and delivering projects ideally but not exclusively in a social housing environment.

**Contract Type: Permanent**

**Base: New County Hall, Truro. The role is centred around Truro and Falmouth, so you'll need to be working in/around and connected here. You will also need to be able to travel throughout Cornwall.**
