Working on one of Great Bear’s largest key sites, this key role will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the Senior Management Team beyond the day-to-day running of the warehouse and distribution operation. As the Business Support Manager,you will be instrumental in driving the rapidly expanding site forward, driving and implementing the medium term operational strategy and Continuous Improvement Vision along with effective resource management.

A background of warehousing and logistics isn’t essential, however a proven track record of process mapping, overseeing projects, gaining buy in & contribution from all stakeholders is required. You will be joining a commercially astute team and will needto demonstrate similar commercial acumen whilst ensuring the highest standards are always achieved in health & safety, service and cost.

**Key responsibilities of the Business Support Manager, in conjunction with the site SLT, include**:

- Implementation and management of CI projects, in line with site’s cost down objective
- Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all project activities
- Overseeing KPI improvement projects and support departments
- Implementing the site medium and long term operational strategy and resourcing requirements, including seasonal recruitment, agency management and design of the recruitment structure
- Managing suppliers and prospective products in conjunction with any new and ongoing projects
- Implementing, tracking and validating CI projections alongside site strategy

**Qualifications**

In order to become successful in this role, you will require:

- Proven experience of process mapping and overseeing projects
- A strong operational background
- Flexibility within the role to be able to contribute to a variety of areas within the operation
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
- A self-driven attitude with the ability to work from your own initiative and make decisions
- Must be a team player with demonstration of the drive and desire to progress
- Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, complete projects and keep staff motivated
- Excellent time management skills and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network at many levels
