To be based in any of our UK offices we are recruiting senior individuals with experience in Active Travel. This is a leadership role to support the growth and development of our active travel team across the UK and to be a key player in our expanding, wider UK team providing technical excellence in this field. These senior roles will focus primarily on the management of active travel projects of varying complexity, via our existing significant and recent local authority framework wins. We are present in most sectors deriving a balanced portfolio of local authorities, national/regional bodies, and the private sector so you can expect a strong local project flavour with a national reach. The industry is dynamic, and we’re always looking forward to supporting our clients to meet a digital and Net Zero future. You'll be trusted to supervise projects and client interface and we're ready to help you grow.

**Your purpose**:
Collaborating with specialists from across our business as part of multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll work on a range of active travel projects. You will play a key role in supporting the technical development of the wider active travel team and provide thought leadership across active travel and related disciplines to continually improve our client offering. Making the most of your transport planning knowledge and experience, you’ll lead active travel projects and provide specialist input to shape feasibility studies, policy and strategy studies, benefits assessment, network planning and design. You will also contribute to helping win work and ensuring successful relationships with our clients.

- A strong team leader and motivator of staff.
- Strong client relationships and the ability to build on these, including the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience in the planning and design for walking and cycle routes as well as public realm projects, infrastructure and highway design.
- Background in transport planning with experience in working across a range of projects for multiple clients.
- Strong client relationships and the ability to build on these, including the ability to win work and influence at all levels.
- Up to date knowledge on the latest standards, codes and regulations.
- Excellent report writing, numerical presentation and communications skills.
- Membership of relevant technical institutions - e.g., CIHT, CILT, ICE, RTPI.
