- Job description- We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player who thrives in the high tempo environment of incident response. As part of the Cumbria and Lancashire Area Incident Team, you’ll be responsive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities. You’ll have a “can-do” attitude and be committed to creating a more resilient Cumbria and Lancashire for the communities and environment we serve.

You’ll be involved in work across all our portfolios; Tactical First Response, Training & Exercising, Emergency Planning, Flood Incident and Environmental Management. The role supports the planning and co-ordination of incident response activities working with colleagues from across our Flood and Coastal Risk Management and our Environment Management departments. Activities will include training colleagues and supporting post incident reviews. You will also work with external partners that form the Local Resilience Forums,
By maintaining a good customer focus you’ll enhance the reputation of incident management and the wider Environment Agency.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and workplace adjustments will be available to support you with your incident role.

- Experience/skills required- We are looking for someone:

- Able to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers and partners.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills (written and verbal) using a wide range of channels and products.
- Delivers continuous improvements.
- Uses judgement/experience to tackle routine issues and seek advice on complex problems.
- Adaptable to changing priorities, sometimes at short notice due to incidents.
- Self-motivated, working well individually and part of a team.
- Makes decisions, takes ownership, and achieve targets.
- Competent IT and data skills, with the ability to pick up new processes and IT systems.
