This fantastic opportunity has arisen following development of our new operating model for the People and Organisation Function.

We are looking for an inspirational People leader to bring a fresh perspective and cutting edge thinking to support the delivery of our People Plan vision, the delivery of our new operating model for the People and OD Function and to drive forward the change management programme linked to the opening of MMUH.

We do many things well; the Trust has won awards for wellbeing, our widening participation programme has been recognised locally and nationally and we are an education provider of note. However there is scope for further improvement and innovation and the implementation of our new operating model for the People Services function will be instrumental in enabling us to take this forward.

You will be an established People leader with substantial senior management experience. As the Assoc. Director of People Services you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the People function and alongside the delivery of a professional, high performing operational People Services function which includes operational HR, change management & recruitment services.

Above all else, you will have a value set aligned to our own values of Ambition, Compassion & Respect and the capability to inspire and motivate a wide range of staff and stakeholders in the Trust and across the Black Country ICS to work towards the achievement of our progressive ambitions for transformation.

Interviews on 8th December 2023 and will comprise of stakeholder engagement sessions, alongside a competency based leadership interview.

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated care organisation with a budget of approximately £600 million and over 7,000 staff.
