This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 6 Adult ED Therapist to join our team within the Specialist Adult Eating Disorder Service (SAEDS) based at The Willows (Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent) working full time, 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday. As a part of your role working within the team you will utilise your specialist skills and knowledge to assist with the assessment and treatment planning for clients referred to SAEDS.

Our SAEDS seeks to provide a high quality service to ensure that clients receive their care by the right person in the right place at the right time, supported by NICE guidance. Enhancing education, prevention, early intervention and strengthened pathways.

We are looking for a self-motivated, organised individual who is committed to the their role promoting the principles and practice of recovery and is able to provide specialist Enhanced Cognitive behaviour Therapy (CBT-ed) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Ten (CBT-T) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) models of treatment, supervise therapists and act as care co-ordinator. If you have experience in leading, working in community settings and working collaboratively across teams you may be the person we are looking for.

The Trust offers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) which is tailored to meet the professional development needs of individual practitioners

To provide specialist IPT supervision and training to therapists within the SAEDS.

To act as Care co-ordinator for Eating Disorder Service clients, as appropriate. To offer advice, support and supervision to other health care professionals.

To provide a specialist CBT-e and IPT model of treatment to clients within the Specialist Adult Eating Disorder Service.

To contribute to the specialist assessment and treatment planning of clients referred to the SAEDS

To manage a caseload of clients with eating disorders, and possibly co morbid conditions, in an out-patient and community setting which will include frequent reviews of risk, physical health status, care plans and treatment efficacy.

To be professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of their own work including the management of service users in their care.

To manage the physical health monitoring clinics of patients, to be responsible for the taking of blood, and performing ECG’s, along with height and weight monitoring

To organise clinical work effectively with particular regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
