**Senior Mission Systems Engineer (Stores Management)**

Senior Mission Systems Engineer (Stores Management). £45k+. Preston. Hybrid and Flexible working. My client, a global defence company based in Preston, are looking for a Senior Mission Systems Engineer (Stores Management) with design and integration experienceof Stores Management Systems, to join an exciting and expanding team. As a Senior Mission Systems Engineer (Stores Management) with design and integration experience of Stores Management Systems, you will be innovating and solving problems to deliver technologyvalue into the business. This is an exciting senior level position that will provide you with a challenging role whilst allowing you to develop your skills, learning from the experienced engineers around you.

As a Senior Mission Systems Engineer (Stores Management), your role will involve:

- Providing a positive influence and support to future programmes that involve the integration of weapons and other payloads
- Developing and maintaining the BAE Systems Capability Approach to Armament Stores Management Systems and associated Safety Engineering. This will form the bridge between how stores have traditionally been integrated with air platforms and the needs of futureplatforms, where streamlined integration is enabled by new technologies and software architectures
- Sponsoring / championing new technologies relating to Armament Stores Management Systems and their integration with platforms
- Developing as a Armament Stores Management Systems Subject Matter Expert (for future Knowledge / Succession Planning)

This role would suit someone who is passionate about Engineering, particularly with Store Management background and knowledge of Weapon Suspension Equipment. Someone who has designed and integrated these systems previously.

Your skills and qualifications

Required:

- Weapons Integration programmes
- Armament Systems with particular emphasis on Armament Stores Management Systems
- Supplier Management
- Hands-on aircraft experience, trials / equipment installations
- Early Lifecycle concepts
- Modelling and Simulation
- Requirements capture, verification, qualification, and certification
- Software Engineering and the Software Lifecycle

- Weapon Suspension & Release Equipment
- Weapon Aiming & Delivery
- Aerodynamics; Stores Release & Jettison calculations and modelling

As a Senior Mission Systems Engineer (Stores Management) with design and integration experience of Stores Management Systems, you will earn a starting salary of £45k+ and will be entitled to a range of excellent benefits, as well as huge career growth andtraining opportunities.
