**Overview**

The Hunslet Club is an incredible institution that has a clear mandate, “to promote the physical, social and educational development of young people aged between 5 and 18 years in the city of Leeds and surrounding areas, through the provision of social, recreational, educational and sporting activities and to engage with the wider community by providing facilities for community use.”

There is an exciting new opportunity for a Youth Worker to join our existing youth provision and be part of our junior youth club (ages 8-12) and our senior youth club (aged 13 plus).

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Together with the Youth Work Manager, develop and deliver an evening programme that is exciting, challenging and ever changing in a safe environment
- Welcoming young people into the building, ensuring everything is running smoothly and supporting young people engaging with activities
- To work directly with young people to develop their social skills, develop healthy relationships and make decisions that are right for them
- To directly organise and deliver a high-quality programme of activities that are exciting, safe, varied, developmental and directly responds to the diverse needs, concerns and interests of members
- To actively promote The Hunslet Club and positively contribute towards increasing new youth members
- To establish positive relationships with children and young people
- To be a role model for young people and present a positive “can do” attitude
- To respond to the needs of the young people through activities at the youth club
- To work flexibly to ensure the needs of the members are met, including disadvantaged those with additional needs and disabilities
- To ensure the members maintain a high standard of behaviour and discipline during sessions whilst making the area fun
- To ensure the participation of young people in activities and that their ideas contribute fully in the delivery of activities in a safe way
- To be able to think on your feet with mínimal equipment
- Ability to enthuse others including staff, volunteers and young people to making the environment fun and the place to be
- Report to the Youth Manager how the youth club is going, report any incidents and collect and analyse data

The Hunslet Club reserve the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time in accordance to the needs of the business

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 2.5-10 per week

**Salary**: £10.42-£11.50 per hour
