Team Leader Support Worker

£12:30 - £14:50 per hour DOE.
- Full-time, 36 per week on shift basis + 6 hours administration time (admin to be completed in the office on Thursdays alongside the senior managers) 42 hours
- One 12-hour shift must fall on a weekend per two-week cycle
- The option to include 2 sleeps contracted which adds £10,400 per year

MUST:
- Have undergone training in supported accommodation.
- Have an exemplary record of evidencing and tracking all sessions with the following:
Documenting, paperwork, meetings, trackers, key worker sessions
- Be a role model for others - to be aware of and comply with the requirements of all Youth Hubz policies and procedures.
- To be fully aware of and ensure Health and Safety measures are followed at all times.
- Show an ability to work with staff at all levels, reporting back to managers, working as part of a team, and as a role model to those shadowing.
- Be willing to work towards their Level 4 in Children’s Residential Care
- Experience working with young people in supported living

**The Role**
As a Team Leader, you will support the Service Manager overseeing the day-to-day management of the supported living service, the young people they support, and supervise the staff team on a daily basis. The service supports young people living with a range of challenging and risky behaviour, mental health conditions and complex needs. Your job will be to ensure the service is safe, flexible, and supportive. You will ensure the team is encouraging and supporting the individual/s with everyday living, this includes social activities, physical activities, offering housing & financial advice, and learning life skills such as cooking, and budgeting whilst ensuring that they are safe within their placement and the wider community.
Duties will include:
- Ensuring the Young person’s wishes, feelings and views are captured and evidenced throughout all record-keeping
- Rota Planning
- Liaison with outside agencies and relatives.
- Carrying out Assessments and developing the needs of the young people we support
- Supervising & mentoring the staff team to be the best Key Workers they can be.
- Participate in supervision, training, and development activities as necessary to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills, Identifying additional training requirements.
- Case studies to be completed with each key worker mentored - Aim, purpose, and outcome documented. Plan and prepare observations and provide feedback for management.
- Always establish and maintain clear and professional boundaries when mentoring all workers.
- Ensuring Key Workers/all staff always comply with all of Youth Hubz policies and procedures - revisiting the policies if necessary.
- Attend weekly meetings with management to discuss progress and attend monthly staff meetings.
- Being on call on a rota basis (additional to the 36 hours).
- Reporting (written) back to senior management with monthly updates on the young people's progress, property issues, staff and evaluation of professional development.
- Ensure communication, whether written or verbal between staff members within Youth Hubz, with the social worker teams and with all outside agencies is prompt, detailed: and completed to an excellent standard reflecting the professionalism that Youth Hubz aspires to.
- Delivering and managing the Petty cash.
As a Team Leader, you will get:
- An allocated day weekly for admin catch-up (to be taken at Thorpe House)
- Increased pay progression as stated above DOE - reviewed 6 monthly.
- To progress towards Middle manager status
