CMA Executive have been appointed as the retained partner to find a Finance Director or CFO to join a growing and diverse, privately owned organisation in Dorset. This multi-site business provides residences and care to a great number of people across theUK, and more recently with operations internationally. The company has enjoyed good levels of growth and continues to develop positively and therefore a commercial Finance Director or CFO is required to support this continued development.

Working directly alongside the CEO and Chairman, as part of the Senior Leadership Team you will oversee a substantial finance team, partnering with business leaders and safeguarding any future commercial activity by conducting sound financial due diligenceand risk planning.

This company has a broad portfolio of operations that are delivered through professional framework and infrastructure, whilst maintaining a family run feel to the business, producing a great sense of team spirit and positive culture throughout.

**What the Finance Director position will involve**:

- Provide sound and insightful financial analysis to support growth and create better understanding of business performance from end to end.
- Support the CEO and Chairman in commercial decision making, working through regulatory matters and ensuring the is efficient processes to deliver strategic goals.
- Manage all relationships with external bodies including Auditors, Banks and advisory services.
- Oversee all financial regulatory matters and provide support with the review of other regulatory concerns.
- Act as a leadership presence in the office in the absence of the CEO and support operations with delivering business objectives.
- Fully qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE.
- Experience of working in a leadership role previously, this role requires gravitas in order to lead a sizeable team and act as a ‘go-to’ decision maker to support the CEO.
- Multi-site and multiple company entities experience would be considered advantageous, with experience of regulated environments potentially being desirable. Experience of ‘Family Estate’ would also be deemed desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen with an appetite to improve processes and be a self-starter.
- The role is best suited to someone with some experience of working within an SME family run background, with broader experience of larger companies in order to develop appropriate controls and procedures during growth.
