**WHAT TO EXPECT**

The Regulatory Requirements Team is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of new and updated regulations into JLR’s Product Delivery programmes.

As a Regulatory Requirements Author, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Engineering Requirements for Global Regulations.

You will be expected to know or have the aptitude to learn a selection of Subject Matter Areas, focusing on Onboard Diagnostics (OBD) regulations & requirements. The wider team will cover a broad range of regulations including everything from vehicle safety to hazardous materials, from conventional powertrains to emerging new technologies, from software services to data protection and many more.

On a day-to-day basis you will collaborate with the existing Regulations team to identify new & updated regulations that need to be digested, dissected and understood by JLR. You will then be responsible for collaborating with different areas of the business to ensure the smooth flow of new or updated engineering requirements into our Traceable Requirement Management (TRM) system & processes.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitor regulatory inputs from the Product Compliance Regulations team for new and updated requirements for your Subject Matter Area(s).
- Author Engineering requirements for Regulations for your Subject Matter Area(s) as well as improve or maintain existing requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the relevant Product Engineering teams to ensure regulation deliverables are understood and can be met, and compliance considerations are integrated into engineering activities.
- Support the monitoring of process compliance with Key Process Indicators and driving the approval process for the regulatory requirements, to ensure smooth and efficient communication with the relevant stakeholders.
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify approaches / options for delivering product compliance for new / future regulations.
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager, in connection with their job, as may be requested from time to time.

**WHAT TO EXPECT**
- Knowledge of OBD regulations and/or OBD engineering requirements & specifications.
- Interested in and capable of analysing Global Regulations & Regulatory Requirements
- Excellent written communication skills (English), with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of authoring and / or using regulatory or legal documentation.
- Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
- Relevant degree and/or Proven Experience working with Regulatory or Engineering Requirements
