**Job overview**:
**An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Team Administrator within the IV Therapy Team Based at Rochdale Infirmary.**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Administrator who enjoys working as part of a team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high-quality administration support in an efficient and timely manner.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, IT competency in Word, Excel and Outlook, Trust IT Systems and other administrative experience.

**Main duties of the job**:
The Team Administrator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and confidential administrative support within the clinical team.

The post holder will provide an administrative function to the nurses and other multi-disciplinary teams. Other duties including typing of clinical correspondence, filing, answering the telephone and taking patient details.

Knowledge of medical terminology would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

As the role involves dealing with the public and healthcare professionals you must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and will have a flexible and professional approach.

You will be able to organise and prioritise your own workload in order to meet our transcription targets.

**Essential criteria**:

- Experience in office administration
- Experience of using Microsoft Word/ Excel, Microsoft Outlook
- Experience of IM&T systems for data entry
- Good command and understanding of English, punctuation, and grammar.
- Motivated, flexible and proactive Tactful, courteous and polite Smart appearance in accordance with PAHT dress code
- Ability to work across all PAHT sites when required Satisfactory attendance record in present/most recent post Recognise equality and diversity and the importance of human rights with dignity and respect Act in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures.

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience of using digital dictation systems
- Experience in working with Sytm one, Health views.
- Knowledge of medical terminology within more than one specialty
- Knowledge of Access targets, and how own role fits in with these initiatives
- Understanding of the Data Protection Act
