**Your dream role**:
An exciting opportunity for a Head of Supplier Quality to join our team in Larbert You will be ensuring and improving the quality of purchased systems and components to Alexander Dennis globally across all business units as part of overall ADL quality management system.

**Main responsibilities**:
Supplier qualification
- Lead or ensure the qualification and re-certification of all suppliers as required. Ensure that all supplier qualifications follow consistent standard procedures globally. Maintain an up-to-date Approved Supplier Listing.
- As part of a wider APQP strategic quality initiative being introduced, agree required PPAP level on selected products and take initial PPAP to conclusion utilizing the ADL workbook.
- In line with NPD or separate sourcing projects, develop supplier audit schedules as required.
- Ensure post supplier assessment, all non-conformance actions have been closed and supplier has achieved the required scoring to proceed to PPAP. Authorise supply from new or existing suppliers to commence.
- Work with ADL cross-functional teams and suppliers on alternative specification product selection, testing and implementation, to assure it meets ADL quality requirements.
- Travel as required to meet all auditing and supplier relationship activities.

Performance reporting and measurement
- Publish monthly supplier quality performance report/scorecard and lead the monthly ADL global supplier quality performance review.
- Publish supplier performance reports to suppliers and lead quality improvement plans as required.
- Prepare supplier quality and reliability performance data for supplier QBR Meetings and follow up on output actions.

Quality Improvement
- Review current supplier quality performance to ADL manufacturing sites and develop and implement continuous supplier audit schedule visiting selected supplier sites on a regular ongoing basis setting improvement activity in line with agreed targets.
- Work closely with ADL Reliability and Service teams and support where required reliability failure investigation with suppliers, driving to root cause corrective action and possible in-service rectification plan (Campaign).
- Lead all RCCA, SCAR and continuous improvement activities with suppliers via site SQA escalations. Ensure prevention of repeat defects through promotion and utilization of 8D/3D methodology
- Lead crisis-management of all major supplier related in-service and in-factory quality incidents (escalations). Be able to respond quickly to implement emergency supplier containment measures as required.

Documentation & maintenance of procedures
- Maintain all sourcing, supplier qualification and supplier relationship management policy and procedure documentation in line with external accreditation requirements.

**What you will bring**:

- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Quality Engineering
- QA audit/engineering experience in automotive environment
- Understanding of key quality standards ISO9001, IATF16949 etc.
- Knowledge of supplier quality management systems and procedures - SPC, RCCA, PPAP, 8D, 5S, 6-sigma, DFMEA, PFEMA etc.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Report writing skills.
