Sen Teacher

**Primary SEN Teacher - Primary SEN School, Andover - 3/5 days per week**

Academics are looking for an empathetic and engaging SEN Teacher to join an 'Outstanding' Primary SEN School in Andover, Hampshire.
They cater for pupils aged between 2 - 11 years old with moderate learning needs (MLD) including social and communication difficulties, autism, speech and language difficulties, and learning difficulties.?All children have an Education Health & Care Plan. Theschool work closely with external professionals to ensure that they provide the appropriate provision for each individual child.
They provide a positive environment and a wide variety of learning experiences so all children are able to succeed. Children are encouraged to 'have a go' knowing that they are well supported and safe to do so. The school philosophy is based on their six corevalues - Respect, Curiosity, Independence, Courage, Positivity, and Teamwork.?
They have approximately 110 children on roll in 10 classes, on average ten children per class, one teacher and usually two or three learning support assistants. This includes 20 part-time children in the nursery.
This is a part-time role 3 days a week but they may consider someone full-time. This is an ongoing, possible temp to perm contract starting ASAP.
Due to the needs of the pupils, you must have had previous experience of teaching children with special educational needs, ideally within a primary setting. Having experience of using Makaton would be beneficial.
