Core subject educational tuition and mentoring role for a young person with additional needs.

Inspiring Kids Wiltshire is a unique alternative provision offering bespoke educational services across Wiltshire. We offer individualised learning experiences to support the development of the whole child through 1:1 teaching within schools, the wider community and the family home. Inspiring Kids Wiltshire seek to offer alternative ways of learning and to transform the quality of education for all. We work with young people with SEN/ SEND, as well as those with SEMH needs and those with moderate to severe learning difficulties.

This role is perfect for a qualified teacher with SEN/SEND experience who is eager to find a new way of working and who wish to truly make a difference to the life of a young person.

The role is offered on a freelance basis and is term time only.

The ability to develop strong professional relationships with the student and their family is paramount along with: A knowledge of a trauma informed approach, a strong grasp of positive behaviour strategies and experience in supporting children to self-regulate emotions.An understanding of working with vulnerable young people with a range of needs and communication styles.An ability to develop, deliver and tailor a bespoke provision based upon individual needs and targets set out in an EHCP.A willingness to commit to an educational journey with a young person and create learning opportunities based upon their interests and passions.An ability to work in a range of different ways and across various platforms.Person SpecificationQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualificationExperience teaching English, Maths and Science at KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE/Functional Skills levelAvailability during school hours and/or after schoolAvailability for face-to-face tuition (not online) in the stated locationValid Enhanced DBS check for working with children (we can support you in gaining this at cost if required)Full commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenExcellence in your communication, timekeeping, reliability, and reportingBe willing to or already be registered as self employed
