**About the Role**:
Coordinates the development of, and is responsible for, accurate and consistent construction, drafting, implementation and tracking of proprietary manuscript reinsurance contract language for new and renewal reinsurance contracts in support of the Corporate Global Reinsurance Group and Reinsurance Legal Practice Group. Ensures the timely execution of reinsurance agreements and related documents, including coordination of compliance with financial and statutory guidelines.

**About the Department & Team:
Global Re is part of Liberty Mutual Corporate Finance managing Liberty Mutual’s reinsurance strategies for external and internal transactions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates and manages the construction, drafting, preparation, review, and execution of manuscript reinsurance contracts and documents in support of Global Reinsurance, with a focus on Internal Reinsurance and support of London/International Ceded Reinsurance contracts.
- Ensure execution of contracts and endorsements within regulatory required timeframes.
- Coordinate international compliance efforts for Global Re as respects Liberty Mutual Insurance Company as reinsurer in cedents’ individual jurisdictions. Create and maintain reference documentation to support Global Re in meeting requirements.
- Assists the Reinsurance Legal Practice Group Attorneys in the review process of various broker, modelling, and servicing documents.
- Contributes to the annual review of Liberty Mutual’s Standard Reinsurance Contract Clauses, in conjunction with the Legal Reinsurance Practice Group, Liberty Mutual International Legal Groups, Global Ceded Reinsurance and Brokers to ensure the most current, state of the art language is utilized.

**Skills and Experience**:

- In-depth understanding of reinsurance concepts and terms, contract preparation, wording and reviews; a general understanding of direct side insurance underwriting, including components of policies such as General Liability, Commercial Multi-Peril, Excess Casualty, Specialty Lines of Business.
- Control of insurance/reinsurance accounting and terminology; excellent oral and written communication skills required to communicate effectively with the Legal Reinsurance Practice Group’s attorneys, the various business unit’s reinsurance placing directors, accountants, underwriters, and brokers/reinsurers and other attorneys (as applicable)
- Up-to-date knowledge of wordings and technical requirements relating to London Market placements of International Excess of Loss and Proportional Treaty Reinsurance business.
- Good organisation skills, ability to manage multiple complex projects, for multiple individuals, at the same time; demonstrated ability to work independently with little or no supervision and exercise independent judgment
- Self-starter with a track record of challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities for process improvement and capacity creation
- Possess flexibility and adaptability to manage changing work requirements and varying volumes of work proactivel
- Experience in a relevant technical role which includes contract review or drafting (e.g. wordings, claims, legal, broker back up)
