Sheridan Maine is partnering an established and reputable manufacturing business based in the vibrant city of Birmingham. The business is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Internal Auditor to join its finance team. This is a hybrid working position with 2 or 3 days a week office based and the rest worked from home.
As an Internal Auditor you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, effectiveness, and compliance of the financial operations. Your meticulous approach, attention to detail, and analytical mindset will be essential in conducting comprehensive audits to identify potential risks, assess controls, and recommend improvements to enhance financial processes. Working closely with the finance team and management, you will contribute to maintaining the company's strong financial foundation and promoting transparency and accountability throughout the organisation.

**Your responsibilities as the Internal Auditor will include**:

- Conducting internal audits of financial records, transactions, and processes
- Assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems
- Identify areas for improvement and making recommendations to enhance operational and financial processes
- Support and monitoring of the operational implementation of these action plans
- Supervision and training of key finance personnel
- Liaise with external auditors during their missions on internal control
- Continuous improvement and productivity enhancement. This involves consistently reviewing control processes and adapting them as needed. Actively engage in critical risk assessments, develop robust monitoring controls, optimise audit tests, and implement best practices across all areas of operations
- Work in close collaboration with Group Internal Audit
- Prepare detailed audit reports, outlining findings, and presenting them to management
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc assignments to support business objectives
- Staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in auditing and finance

- Qualified Auditor / Internal Auditor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information concisely
