Internal Auditor

At Goldman Sachs, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability of our financial reports, monitoring compliance with laws and regulations, and advising management on developing smart control solutions.
Job SummaryThe primary role of Internal Audit is to provide assurance that our financial reporting is reliable, that we are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and that our operations are effectively controlled. We are looking for a team player who has an interest in financial markets and wants to gain insight into our operations and control processes.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning and scoping reviews by meeting with relevant stakeholders to understand and walk through our business and technology processes to identify key risks and controls to be assessed.
- Lead the preparation of the audit testing program and assessment of the adequacy of the design and operation of the controls associated with the key risks identified.
- Assess the risk and impact of the issues identified on reviews and assist with production of the report to management.
- Follow up with stakeholders on remediation of actions coming out of issues identified during audits.
- Engage in ad hoc work on firmwide projects around new processes or activities and investigation of incidents.
- Relevant experience in internal/external audit or risk management. Understanding of Credit risk would be beneficial.
- Ability to project manage.
- An ability to work effectively across a large global audit team.
- Strong understanding of risks and controls.
