Lead Data Scientist

This fraud detection and prevention software company are in need of a Lead Data Scientist to provide the vision and leadership when it comes to overseeing the data science roadmap. This organisation has already analysed over £4 trillion worth of invoicesfor over 300 customers

You will be at the heart of providing new algorithms for their product and refining machine learning models (along with creating new models) to provide business insights to benefit the company and their customers. You will need a good blend of hands-on technicalskills and a strategic mindset to be successful. This Lead Data Scientist role will require strong Python coding, machine learning knowledge and SQL expertise. Along with this, you will be liaising with other departments and stake holders so excellent communicationsskills is a must.

Required experience:

- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a Data Science position.
- Strong knowledge in refining ML models and taking new ML models from research to production.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Great communication skills.

Nice to have’s:

- Tableau or similar for dashboard work.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience of working with SaaS company.

This Data Scientist position is a hybrid role with expectations to visit the office in Reading 1-2 times per week. The salary on offer is up to £70,000 and benefits include flexible working, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, employer pension contributionand a bonus scheme.
