As a senior member of Slough CMHT, the Adult Safeguarding Clinical Lead will provide expert advice, support, supervision and training to staff within CMHT on matters relating to Adult Safeguarding including DoLS (Deprivation of Liberties Safeguards) and MCA (The Mental Capacity Act), MARAC/EMRAC and Prevent. The post holder will be required to work with other named professionals, as well as partner agencies. within safeguarding to ensure all services are appropriately covered.

For the purpose of this job description, the term Adult Safeguarding includes all matters relating to MCA, DOLS and ‘Prevent’

The post holder will contribute to setting, monitoring and maintenance of robust adult safeguarding arrangements and the collection of data to support internal and external contractual arrangements within Slough CMHT.

The post holder will be expected to take a leadership role within the team on a work stream relating to Safeguarding Adults. This list is non-exhaustive and could include Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Prevent, Mental Health inpatient reviews and assessments, and multi-agency liaison and engagement around exploitation.

**The “must haves” for you to be considered for this role**:  
- Registered health or social care practitioner
- First level degree or equivalent
- Training in adult safeguarding or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to network and build relationships
