About the role
- Do you want to help our network grow? Join us on our Radio Access Planner Apprentice Scheme and you’ll work, earn and study towards a professional qualification, all while doing something you love_
Join the people growing our network
Working in our Radio Access Planning team, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of 5G, LTE and UMTS in appropriate regions. You’ll support, create and adapt our processes and guidelines to ensure that the Access team can meet delivery needs and expectations.
Build skills for the future
As an apprentice, you will work alongside the wider team supporting the rollout of our mobile networks. You will be responsible for making sure than radio plans are created to meet all requirements and guidelines. You’ll deliver a network improvement plan for your assigned area, which includes identifying new sites or upgrading existing ones. Once you’ve settled in the role, you’ll own projects and will be tasked with delivering these on time, and within budget. Other responsibilities you’ll take on include:
Attending sites to support Multi Skills Visits (MSVs)
Working with various Radio software solutions to Plan, Design and Deliver the Radio Network. Using Analytical skills to maximise the capability of our network for the customer.
What we look for
A highly organised individual that is able to lead multiple projects at one time. You’ll need to be a keen problem solver with the ability to relay information back to people of all levels effectively. Working with finances in every project, you should be able to record and budget accurately, with the confidence to ask questions when necessary. Other qualities we’re looking for include:
Experience with Microsoft Office
Analytical thinking
Ability to structure tasks productively

All our apprenticeships lead to permanent roles, so once you have successfully completed the scheme, you will have a role in the team waiting for you, Level 3 Radio Technician qualification under your belt and a final salary from £30,000.
