**Demand Planner**

Working closely with the Sales Teams and Customer Collaboration implants to create and manage the demand forecast, for specific complex and partner customers and customer groups within the UK Market.

The forecast is a critical Input to the total demand plan which is used to drive production planning, scheduling and material requirements planning within the supply chain and to support business and financial processes & reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Become an account, promotional volume/value specialist, liaising with internal account teams and supporting functions, including customer collaboration Implants to reflect promo plan
- Responsible for ensuring on target Promotional Volume Accuracy KPI
- utilise knowledge of the customer and customer systems to robust the promotional volume plan
- Create a sales promotions forecast on a weekly basis for specific customer, considering volume, value and product requirements.
- Utilising market and category information, historic demand performance data and an assumption base set to create a sales promotions forecast.
- Create account level promotions within the promotional planning tool, based on the accounts promotional plan created by Account Managers.
- Work with account managers to improve forecast accuracy and bias to agreed targets, by reviewing forecast assumptions vs. performance in periodic or quarterly forecast reviews, frequency dependant on account size.
- Conduct promotional analysis and make change recommendations Into the sales promo review forum
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, particularly with regards to the overall sales promotions planning and S&OP+ processes
- Be the product owner for the CAS BOT (RPA) responsible for key user activities as well as defining the continuous Improvement roadmap.
- Maintain the Sales Planning training materials

**Context and Scope**

The jobholder is required to have a broad understanding of market dynamics and supply capability within FMCG industries. Working closely with Account Managers and Account teams, the jobholder is responsible for creating and managing a robust and assumptions based volume/value sales promotions forecast. This forecast input is a critical building block for the consensus Demand Forecast.

The jobholder uses knowledge, experience, Sales history, input from Account Managers, Market and Category data, Sales systems data, customer collaboration and input on upcoming market plans to create an account sales promotions forecast at item level. Activity performance should be reviewed on an ongoing basis and any risks to the forecast highlighted.

it is essential to develop a close relationship with the Supply Chain Implants to ensure that there is an aligned activity plan for each Account.

The jobholder will be required to:

- monitor promo events and EPOS data whilst they are in-store, as an Input to promo planning review
- Monitor overstocks and Inform Demand Planner when action Is required
- Through event reviews amend the assumptions and future sales promotions forecast accordingly.
- Align on assumptions with the account manager prior to periodic S&OP+ submission.
- Instigate any learning's around WOW, ordering patterns, and the collation of event history with the account teams.
- Forecast the short and medium term sales promotions planning horizon for both volume and spend, (0-24 months)
- Together with the Demand Planning team, this role has a shared accountability for P-3, P-1 and P-0 Forecast Accuracy and Bias

**Education & Professional Qualifications**

Pass at GCSE or equivalent

**Knowledge / Experience**
- Customer facing and/or planning experience is required for this role.
- The job holder should be numerate with curiosity for data and their trends, to create and evaluate data in spreadsheet format.
- To have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a clear thinker and to have a structured and pro-active style of working - able to prioritise and multitask.
- Have strong commercial awareness.
