Holroyd Precision Rotors are specialist in the design and manufacture of helical screws and rotors, and as such our Stores area is a hive of activity receiving daily supplies and despatching goods worldwide. We are looking for an energetic, experienced Stores person to work in our busy Goods Inwards & Despatch area.

**JOB PURPOSE**

The three-core areas of responsibilities are to ‘process goods received’, ‘pack and despatch components to our customers’ and ‘maintain the inventory store’. This involves working outdoors at times. As a manufacturer we use a Material Requirement Planning system (MRP) (namely, Epicor) and it is essential that you have experience of a similar system for booking goods in and out although some training will be provided.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- ** DELIVERIES**: Receive deliveries, process paperwork, update MRP system and organise storage, use of a fork-lift -truck will be needed at times. Communicate arrival of urgent deliveries to others.
- ** STORES**: Keep a tidy, organised Stores area and ensure the MRP system is updated with transactions. Inventory levels must be maintained which involves liaising with the procurement manager.
- ** DESPATCH**: Work closely with the supervisor and the shipping administrator for international despatches. Liaise with manager on weights, dimensions and quantities for despatch. Prepare packing crates
- this may involve modifying wooden crates so must be able to use circular saw and nail gun (training will be provided). Collate shipping documents ready for goods to be collected by courier and keep Shipping administrator and Sales updated with collections.
- ** WASTE**: Contact waste removal companies and ensure bins are emptied on time, this includes wood, cardboard, metal, lubricate and general waste.
- ** OTHER**: Other general housekeeping as required.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Experience of working in busy Goods Received / Despatch for an engineering company, moving heavy components and handling raw materials and consumables such as metal billets, lubricant and consumables.
- Competent in the use of tools and machinery such as drills, circular saw and nail gun.
- Qualified in the use of forklift truck, hand truck and other handling equipment.
- Excellent organisational skills and maintains a tidy work environment.
- Sound knowledge of safe working practices and some understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Must be able to take ownership of the department and able to work on their own.

**SALARY & BENEFITS**

**Weekly Hours**: 38 hrs 20mins

Work Pattern: Mon-Thurs 7.45 to 16.30, Fri 7.45 to 13.05

Flexibility may be needed to work additional hours as and when business needs dictate.
