**THE ROLE**

We have an exciting new role for an Accounts Payable Team Leader who will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments, in accordance with performance and quality standards set out for the Accounts Payable team whilst ensuringcost are recorded correctly and in a timely manner by their team.

Key responsibilities will include;
- The team leader is responsible for supervising Accounts Payable Clerks (staff numbers 2 to 4) to make sure vendor invoices are processed in line with the vendor payment cycles and the Prompt Payment Code, and defined company policies and procedures.
- Resolve vendor queries in relation to payments and invoices, and deal with any escalated queries from Accounts Payable Clerks.
- Prepare payment runs both GBP and Foreign, agree data and inform finance BACS can be submitted and authorised for processing. Liaise with IT support should any technical issues occur.
- Escalate any possible issues and queries to Accounts Payable Manager
- Liaise with vendors to reconcile Statement of Accounts ensuring all Company expenses are accounted for. Whilst keeping an overview of Supplier Reconciliations of the team.
- Assist AP manager with compiling CIS deductions and upload information to HMRC along with the payment as per timetable to avoid penalties.
- Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations and miscellaneous GL account reconciliations. Resolve allocation of returned payments and Prepare adhoc journal requests.
- Assist AP Manager with Internal and external Auditor request and provide documentation and advice for any audits carried out and with any adhoc reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with external regulatory and other reporting (where applicable), support and maintain policies and procedures and monitor and remediate effectiveness of controls
- Team Objectives and monthly 1-1 with staff.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**

The job holder will be required to have at least 5 years’ experience of working within an Accounts Payable function, within a complex and large volume environment and have solid knowledge of principles, practices, regulations, and procedures relating toAccounts Payable and Procurement
