**About The Role**:
An exciting opportunity to join Housing Solutions as a Housing Apprentice, under a fixed term 18 month contract while completing a Level 3 Housing and Property Management qualification. While completing your apprentice you will be working in our friendly and professional Housing Department and supporting the provision and delivery of an efficient and effective Housing/Neighbourhood service. You will support front line housing management service, helping officers within the housing service teams while learning and developing an understanding of the Housing Association sector and the housing roles within Housing Solutions.

Undertaking a rotational programme, you will spend time with the key areas within housing, shadowing officers and developing an understanding of the housing environment. You will learn how to effectively deal with first line enquiries from customers over the phone or face to face, and to offer basic advice or refer the customer onto the most relevant officer. You will develop a basic broad range of housing services knowledge, so that customers’ can be given correct information, support, and advice, including sign posting to relevant services upon first contact and providing assistance and support for customers to access digital services.

You will be responsible for the housekeeping and inputting of data on the housing management systems to ensure all customer files hold relevant information and are kept up to date. You will also obtain customer feedback on services delivered, collate data and provide statistical information for the purpose of reporting performance.

If you love helping people, are well organised, like a challenge and have a cool head, then you should excel as a housing apprentice. You’ll also need to be calm, attentive and reassuring. Good people skills are tfore an important requirement, but this job also requires you to do a number of other duties demanding a range of talents. It’s also useful if you’re a strong communicator, as you may need to represent clients and mediate on their behalf to try and achieve a good outcome for their particular issue.

The successful applicant will require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
