**Roles and Responsibilities**
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a passion for animals and the drive to make a difference. Here at Peak Vets we have a great team of vets, registered veterinary nurses, student veterinary nurses and receptionists who are all committed to animal health and welfare. This is a demanding role and requires dedication, proactivity, flexibility, a strong work ethic and a strong belief in delivering the highest standard of patient care.
Full-time hours: 40 hours a week - Shift work including some evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Opening hours are 8am-9pm Mon-Fri, 8.30-4pm Sat, and 9am-1pm Sunday.
Previous experience of working with animals would be highly desirable
Qualification in animal care desirable
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the nursing team to provide gold standard care to our pets to include with patient handling, preparation of accommodation, exercising, feeding, grooming and handling for examinations.
- Cleaning and disinfection of patient accommodation and clinical environments.
- Assisting with laboratory diagnostic techniques to include preparation of equipment, processing samples and packaging for external laboratories.

**About Us**
Peak Vets is a single site, RCVS Veterinary Hospital located in the borough of Woodseats within the vibrant city of Sheffield. We have a team of 9 vets, 12 registered veterinary nurses, 3 student veterinary nurses and 4 receptionists. Peak pride themselves on providing high quality, accessible healthcare for their client’s pets. Our team love their work and like to have fun together within and outside of the practice. The practice has 4 spacious consulting rooms, 2 operating theatres, separate cat, dog and isolation wards, separate dental and imaging rooms, and is well equipped with the usual in house diagnostic and surgical kit you would expect from an RCVS Hospital practice.
