**The Role**:
As a Major Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner (ODP), you will play a crucial role in our surgical team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of orthopaedic procedures. You will be responsible for preparing the operating theatre, instruments, and equipment, as well as assisting the surgeons during surgeries. Your expertise in orthopaedics and attention to detail will be invaluable in preventing and managing any complications that may arise during the surgical process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparing the operating theatre, instruments, and equipment necessary for orthopaedic surgeries
- Assisting surgeons during procedures, ensuring sterile conditions are maintained
- Handling instruments and equipment safely and effectively
- Providing immediate post-operative care to patients, including monitoring vital signs
- Ensuring the accurate and timely documentation of patient records
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care

**Requirements**:
To be considered for this role, you must:

- Be a qualified Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Major Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner
- Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care
