**Are you a **Media**Professional looking for your next exciting opportunity?**
If you've answered yes, a fantastic health related charity are seeking to hire a **Media Manager** on a permanent basis, to join their dedicated communications team, and help raise the profile of the organisation and create further awareness of their work.
As the **Media Manager**, you will be reporting into the Head of Communications, and managing a Media Officer, you will be responsible for building relationships with the media and supporting our client's policy and campaigning work.
**Your duties and responsibilities will include**
- The **Media Manager** will identify stories/news and turn complex issues into compelling stories to pitch to journalists and to pitch comment pieces and reactive statements.
- Develop and implement media plans that promote our client and their ambitious strategy.
- Increase awareness of cystic fibrosis and the work of our client through a proactive, creative, and strategic approach to media relations.
- Identify and develop news hooks and stories to pitch to the media.
- As the **Media Manager**, you will lead media pushes on major campaigns with innovative, original thinking and delivery of outstanding results.
**Your skillsets, experience and attributes will include**
- Demonstrable experience of successful working within a PR/Media Environment.
- Proven experience of managing working relationships with journalists.
- Proven experience of copywriting and editing skills to create impactful communication material
- Demonstrable experience of driving substantial media coverage.
- Demonstrable experience of reputation management and crisis management
