**Job purpose**

If ABCA sounds like the right place for you, we would love you to join our team within the Service Non-Technical. You will be carrying out fire door inspections across multiple sites, ensuring that all communal and flat entrance doors are compliant and meet the correct standards.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Conduct detailed inspections of fire doors in accordance with the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assess the condition, operation, and maintenance of fire doors to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of fire door components, materials, and construction to identify potential issues or hazards.Document inspection findings, including deficiencies, and provide clear and concise reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about updates to fire safety regulations and industry best practices, ensuring continued compliance in all inspections.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- FDIS Diploma preferred but not essential.
- Fire Safety experience preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience working with fire door inspection and maintenance background would be beneficial along with sound knowledge of health & safety.
- Great attention to detail.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Good understanding of office packages i.e. Excel and Word.
- Problem Solving skills
- Logical Thinking and Reasoning
- Excellent Communications skills
- Attention to Detail

**Other Information**

This is a permanent role we are offering based in Newcastle. The rate of pay we are offering is up to £13:50 per hour depending on experience, based on a 40-hour working week.
