**The Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team based at our PKL office in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. Reporting to the Company Accountant, this position plays a key role in managing the purchase ledger. Key responsibilities will include:

- Working closely with wider business to input and manage supplier invoices. This includes matching invoices to purchase order and processing approved invoices on the finance system.
- Assisting Payroll & Accounts Officer on the bi-monthly payment run. This includes preparing a list of due payments and liaising closely with suppliers to address queries.
- Liaising with third party to manage company Credit card transactions. This includes supporting internal team on a monthly basis.
- Managing Petty Cash for onsite expenses.
- Chasing and approving PO’s.
- Contacting suppliers regarding outstanding costs.
- Generating weekly operations report on expenditure.
- Assisting Financial Accountant with Intra-stat and fixed asset reporting.
- Managing Purchase Ledger audit.
- Generating ad-hoc reports on utilities and fuel consumption.
- Assist wider finance team as and when required.

**Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience within an administrative position within a fast-paced business;
- Proficiency across the Microsoft office suite; particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong numerical skills;
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills;
- Attention to detail and proven ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy;
- Pro-active with initiative and a strong team player;
- Ability to build and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Strong Ability to Manage own time & responsibilities;
**Desirable**
- Experience in an accounts function within fast paced organisation
- Exposure to QuickBook

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
