**Location**: Crawley Area / Hybrid

**Salary**:£40,000 - £50,000 DOE

**The Role**

The Trading Manager is responsible for providing the commercial insights to drive commercial and trading decisions. The individual will work with various departments across the business to ensure any factors which could influence the commercial position& trading activity are highlighted and reported on, in turn contributing to key business decisions. The role will also be required to work closely with the Partnership team to provide commercial performance updates & to support the team to ensure they haverelevant commercial information for external client updates. They will provide budget and trading analysis, cost-based activity, new commercial models as well as adapt current models at a total and brand level

**The Individual**

**Key Responsibilities**
- To provide commercial insight to drive commercial and pricing decisions.
- To provide daily trading and budget analysis.
- The creation of daily & weekly commercial insights into trading patterns and areas of strength and weakness and to make confident recommendations based on data.
- To be responsible for Commercial validation, working closely with Finance departments.
- Responsibility in owning key tasks with the expectation that they are carried out within expected timeframes and with high accuracy.
- Ownership of trading through the various channels utilised by Rock as well as understanding market conditions, competition and working to sales/ margin targets.

- Strong mathematical / logical capability.
- Highly commercially driven and motivated by commercial targets.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written with the ability to make technical concepts both accessible and interesting to non-technical people..
- Ability to grasp the significance and meaning of a range of technical and complex issues.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Excellent knowledge in Excel.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
