Clinical Lead for The London Major Trauma

London, United Kingdom West London NHS Trust Full time

The role is suitable for majority remote working but the postholder will be required to visit the four London MTCs.

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to take a senior leadership role in developing and leading the psychological responses to Major Incidents across London. The role will also work closely with London's Major Trauma Centres with the implementation of psychological pathways for Major Trauma patients.

NHS England (London) have funded a two-year pilot of new psychological care pathways within London's four Major Trauma Centres (MTCs). The pilot will be implemented in collaboration with the four MTCs' clinical, management and psychology leadership, regional Mental Health Trusts and EPRR.

The intention is that Major trauma Centre patients will have greater access to psychological care, and that the four services in London will have the ability to work together to provide a coordinated response should a major incident occur. This pilot will be evaluated, and the findings used to develop a business case to support sustainability.
