Flexible working hours according to the needs of the project. Evening and weekend work as required. Annual leave and time off in lieu to be taken at times to meet the requirements of the organization and with the prior agreement of the CEO.

**Summary**

Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership (PDAP) delivers nationally accredited, quality marked services across Kirklees. We work within a coordinated partnership response to victims of domestic abuse as part of the local area multi agency strategy to tackling domestic abuse.

The PDAP Live Safe Hub provides a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse. The IDAA service work with female and male victims of domestic abuse aged 16+ living across Kirklees through a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support framework.

The Live Safe Mental Health IDAA will also work with key mental health agencies to improve awareness of domestic abuse and its impact. Part of the role will be to establish and maintain positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships, pathways and referral routes with mental health agencies across Kirklees.

The IDAA will have excellent understanding of domestic abuse and the effects on victims, families, and communities, also having excellent understanding of best practice within the domestic abuse and related sector, working with individuals who have complex and multiple needs. The post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.

Experience of direct work with male and female victims of domestic abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

**PARTICULAR TASKS OF THE POSTHOLDER**

**Service Delivery**
- Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist
- Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active, short term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning and personal support
- Work with high-risk victims of domestic abuse to help them access services to keep them and their children safe.
- Advocate for high-risk victims with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by:

- Understanding the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to domestic abuse victims and how your role fits into them
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including in relation to legal options, housing, health, and finance
- Working directly with all key agency partners to address the safety of high-risk victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated. In particular work closely with mental health partners both statutory and voluntary to engage clients with multiple needs.
- To support victims of domestic abuse though the criminal justice process where needed
- Manage a case load ensuring each client receives the appropriate service individual to their needs
- Support the empowerment of the client and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation, and help them regain control of their lives
- Understand multi-agency partnership structures and work within a multi-agency setting which will include a lead role in mental health.
- In accordance with PDAP Case Management Policy the post holder will be proactive with their Line Manager in carrying out monthly case reviews based on a review of risk and abuse which:

- Feeds back into action planning to further progress, signpost, or close cases and.
- Provides feedback to clients and agencies
- Help maintain accurate and confidential case management records and databases and contribute to monitoring information for the service
- Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures and all legislation connected to the work
- Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for victims of domestic abuse
- Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of victims ensuring the service is accessible to all
