Parenting Team Leader

To be responsible for operational management of the Parenting Team, ensuring partnership working, co-ordination and support using common processes as applicable To work with the Locality Leaders, Team Leaders, Childrens Centre Coordinators, Infant Parent Service and CAMHS colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of parenting programmes in Stockport. To work closely with Team Leaders to coordinate work with families to avoid duplication and work most effectively to achieve positive outcomes for children and families. To ensure provision of professional leadership and supervision to practitioners working in and with the Parenting Team. To work with Locality Practice Teachers to develop high standards of clinical practice and skills and ensure sustained high standards of performance.
To maintain a service culture that places children, young people and families at the heart of the service. To promote the vision for the Stockport Family Service both within the locality and across the borough. To contribute to the organisation and planning processesto deliver high quality outcomes for children, young people and their families. To ensure that interventions are evidence based and deliver measurable outcomes for children, young people and families.
To work with a small clinical caseload and act as a specialist resource and support in the area of parenting support within the business group To keep abreast of national developments relevant to service area To be responsible for the development of strong community engagement in service delivery and public accountability to the local community. To be responsible for effective management oversight of case allocation and robust supervision and support arrangements for staff to ensure appropriate evidence based interventions are in place To support the development of service business plans, workforce plans, area plans and complete annual reports and other reports as applicable to service To work collaboratively and creatively with early years settings, schools, colleges, other Local Authorities, other agencies, the voluntary sector and other groups to design, implement and coordinate interventions for vulnerable children and young people and consider Greater Manchester strategic developments in planning. To perform any other duties that correspond reasonably with the general character of the post and that are commensurate with its level of responsibility The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trusts policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately. If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90.
This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
