Job Title: Team Leader
Location: Caramello Wilmslow
Caramello Wilmslow is a popular and bustling café located in the heart of Wilmslow, known for our exceptional coffee, beautiful brunch, delicious pastries, and warm hospitality. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader who possesses excellent barista skills and a proven track record of leading and motivating a team. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and delivering a top-notch customer experience.
**Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership**: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of baristas and restaurant staff to ensure they provide excellent customer service and follow established standards.
**Customer Service**: Set a high standard for exceptional customer service and lead by example in dealing with customers, taking orders, and handling customer inquiries and concerns.
**Barista Skills**: Demonstrate advanced barista skills, including expert knowledge of coffee preparation, latte art, and maintaining the coffee equipment in top condition.
**Training and Development**: Train new staff members and provide ongoing coaching and support to help team members improve their skills and knowledge.
**Shift Management**: Manage and organise shifts effectively, including delegating tasks, monitoring work progress, and ensuring that each shift runs smoothly.
**Inventory and Stock Management**: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including coffee beans, pastries, and supplies, ensuring that stock is well-maintained and reordered as needed.
**Quality Control**: Ensure that all products are prepared and served according to our quality and presentation standards.
**Cash Handling**: Oversee cash handling and cash register operations, including managing transactions, processing payments, and ensuring accurate reconciliation.
**Opening and Closing Procedures**: Responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, including setting up and shutting down equipment, ensuring security, and maintaining cleanliness.
**Safety and Hygiene**: Enforce strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
**Vendor Relations**: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality ingredients and products.
**Team Collaboration**: Foster teamwork and collaboration among the staff, encouraging a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of barista skills and experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a restaurant or coffee shop setting.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of coffee, coffee equipment, and brewing methods.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
