Digital Trainer

As a Digital Trainer at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), you will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of engaging end-user training content in support of the Trust’s Clinical Technology Strategy (CTS) and other projects central to Digital Transformation; supporting our staff to have the knowledge and understanding to work with our digital systems and technologies in direct support of required project outcomes and objectives.
You will be working with colleagues and other stakeholders to design, plan and produce training material and deliver an engaging learning experience. Using your specialist knowledge and expertise, you will collaborate on identifying and translating learning objectives, instructional design requirements and introduce aspects of business process change in the production of training content and delivery.
Identify learning needs to meet the desired aims and objectives
Manage complex training detail and transcribe into concise, easy to understand content.
Design and develop training content, using a variety of methods and approaches. This may be delivered using a range of delivery tools ensuring that individuals are consistently trained to the appropriate standards.
Travel to relevant sites, set up training rooms, moving equipment and setting up computers / projectors, software installation etc. as required.
Conduct classroom training, ensure staff are supported in practice.
Conduct post training support, which may involve on-site go-live and post go-live support/floorwalking.
Produce training plans to identify the training requirements and training delivery methods.
Take responsibility for the management of own workload and support the Training Lead with regular status reports on progress.
Participate in project workstream meetings, design workshops and user groups as required, providing regular briefings on the development of training content. Ensure feedback to issues are gathered and resolutions communicated effectively.
Undertake review of training provided and evaluation of learning outcomes through customer feedback to identify and implement improvements.

The post holder must be competent in designing engaging training content, which supports the end user to efficiently and effectively use the digital systems/technologies being implemented. With an ability to distil complex information into a concise, non-technical style for presentation and effectively use a full range of delivery methods (blended learning) to enhance learning.
Must be able to conduct presentations and instructional learning with an interactive and engaging approach, relating to business processes and benefits when imparting training content. Have tact, diplomacy and an ability to influence and work with different personality types and learning styles; a good level of communication and interpersonal skills is required.
Able to provide post training support (e.g. floor walking, on-site, go-live and post go-live support).
Must have customer service awareness and a commitment to deliver a quality product, which meets customer needs; and evaluate learning content to ensure it meets these needs and implement improvements to enhance the quality of the service. Use reflective practice and undertake peer reviews to share best practice and improve skills.
Able to manage own workload, prioritise, plan and organise a broad range of complex activities, including formulating work schedules/training plans in line with project timeframes.
